SUNRISE AT THE EAST RIVER

Commissioned by H&D Maintenance Company in Long Island City, Queens, NY for their conference room.The view is of Manhattan with its many iconic buildings: the UN, the Chrysler, the Empire State and the new World Trade Tower as viewed from Long Island City. The painting bears witness to a sunrise in July when the air was clear and the river was glassy between tides, which created a view not often seen in these beautiful colors.
